Sexually explicit content is easier to access than ever before. It's quicker and more anonymous and easier to access extreme forms of content right from  your own phone.

Research demonstrates a number of negative effects of pornography on young people and adults, including belief in rape myths.

Another effect of such easy and frequent access to porn has to do with the sexual scripts developed by young people still forming their sexual identify. Does porn lead to unrealistic expectations about sexual relationships and about women more generally?

This article, based on a survey commissioned by Plan Australia, interviews girls and young women between the ages of 15 and 19 and also links porn consumption by young men to online sexual harassment.
